Ground school 2021.
The next ground school begins in January 2021. In normal circumstances you can commence practical flying lessons before or after attending Ground School. Due to COVID-19, the Ottawa gliding clubs are not currently engaged in lessons.
Ground School occurs once per year, starting in January. This page will be updated in December with information about 2021 Ground School. The information below is for reference only.

This training fulfills the Transport Canada Ground School requirement and prepares each student for the Transport Canada written exam for the Glider Pilot License. The course is a total of 30 hours; a minimum of 15 hours is required to fulfill the Transport Canada Ground School requirement to obtain a Glider Pilot License (GPL).
The sessions are taught by enthusiastic volunteer glider pilots who always have interesting stories to tell.
Tuesday evenings beginning January 7, ending March 10. Ten sessions total. No class on March 12.

There is free parking available, with an entrance off Slater Street, between Bronson and Bay streets.
|Cost||$200. Includes an introductory flight in the 2020 flying season.|
|Payment||Cash or cheque on the night of the first class.|
